They do not remove living cells in the way that Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) are designed to do). We include Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) in our formula as it stimulates the synthesis of natural ceramides in skin. B3 can help strengthen the skin barrier and improve its ability to tolerate external aggressors (such as pollen, chemicals, artificial fragrances and harsh weather).
